		First saw the Zenith STOL aircraft at Oshkosh in the late 80’s. I wanted to build then but family and work would not allow. Fast forward to 2010 when I moved to Florida and joined EAA Chapter 1298. In the hangar was a just completed Zenith STOL 701. Even more important was the knowledgeable builder that accompanied it. Shortly after I ordered the fairly new Zenith CH750 STOL Version 2 Kit. The build took 18 months including time out for vacations and a month spent recovering from back surgery. N23FN has a Jabiru 3300 six cylinder engine with Rotec E-Ignition, Whirlwind GA Prop, Dynon Skyview system, Electronics International Fuel Flow Transducer, PS Engineering Intercom, Fliteline Radio, Kannad 406ELT.

Received the kit from Zenith Aircraft June of 2011, got the airworthiness certificate December of 2012. Total build hours were 1150. Lots of help from fellow EAA 1298 members. Has pretty much full Dynon electronics and Jabiru 3300 six cylinder 120 HP motor. Photo 001
Flew off the 40 hour limitation with no paint. Imron paint went on July 2013 at Hawk Aircraft Painting Tampa Executive Airport. Many gallons of yellow required to cover. Aircraft housed in the EAA hangar at KBKV.
My Zenith STOL cruises at 90-95 mph, top speed 105-110.  Rotate at 43 mph no flaps, lands 50-55 mph half flaps. Fuel burn overall 5.75 gph. Aircraft presently pushing 300 total hours.
Fly mostly within 1 1/2 hours of KBKV, that includes 90% of Florida. Lucky for me my wife Jan also loves flying in my Zenith STOL.
Panel is .050 aluminum sheet with carbon fiber overlay. Piano hinge at bottom allows tilting panel for easy access. Full Dynon electronics except presently has Fliteline radio, planned upgrade to Dynon second radio soon. Has several backup steam gauges. Power Panel is EXP Bus. Panel has performed flawlessly thanks to hangar mate Tom. Will upgrade to ADSB 2020 soon.
