Phil & Joe went on Saturday to view the displays and
attend some of the free seminars |

There were almost
60 aircraft on display, lots to see This was taken early before
many people were there |

On the left is a
TBM 930 which has a max cruise speed of 330 kts, a payload of
1,400 lbs and a range of about 1,700 nm To the right is a
Cirrus with a cruise speed of 211mph with a max cruise of
234mph, and a range round 1,200 nm |

Tents set up for
Free Seminars; AOPA provided water and box lunches for all day
seminars. Also, had a food tent for breakfast and lunch |

Kodiak 100 can
take off in less than 1000 feet and has a useful load around
3,500 lbs, all while consuming a mere 48 GPH |

This is an ICON A5 amphibious plane
with a top speed of 120 mph, and a 345 nm range. They gave 35
demo flights and their Tampa facility is located right on the
filed at Peter O Knight Airport. |

The Velocity has
a useful load of 1,200 lbs and can carry 100 gallons, leaving
about 600 lbs for people and baggage. Has a cruise speed of 185
to 215 kts, using 16 to 20 gph |

The Mako competes
very favorably to the Cessna TTX and the Cirrus at about half
the cost. This plane had "ALL" the bells and whistles, a
normally aspirated Lycoming 540, and a price tag of just under
$450,000 |

The Lancair Mako
is a kit aircraft. They have recently moved their facilities to
Uvalde, TX. They offer a builder assist program for buyers |
